Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today received His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), in New Delhi.

Prime Minister Modi conveyed his warm greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and expressed his satisfaction with the ongoing high-level exchanges between the two nations. Notably, the recent visit of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, to India in September 2024 was highlighted as a key moment, marking a new phase of generational continuity in bilateral relations.

The two leaders focused on deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and the UAE, particularly in areas such as technology, energy, and enhancing people-to-people ties. Prime Minister Modi underscored the importance of the India-Middle East-Europe Corridor (IMEEC), describing it as a historic initiative to foster regional connectivity and promote shared prosperity.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan provided his insights into the current situation in West Asia, and Prime Minister Modi reaffirmed India’s commitment to supporting long-term peace, stability, and security in the region.

The Prime Minister also expressed gratitude to the UAE leadership for their continued support for the welfare of the large and vibrant Indian community residing in the UAE.

This meeting further strengthened the robust bilateral ties between India and the UAE, emphasizing their shared commitment to regional and global stability, as well as economic and cultural collaboration.
