The powerful earthquake claimed the lives of 14 individuals, injured more than 200 people, and displaced approximately 950 citizens who sought refuge in shelters. On December 27, 2024, the humanitarian aid was officially dispatched from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta, Indonesia. In 2015 and 2023, Indonesia similarly responded to cyclones that ravaged the island nation.
