Crown Prince of Dubai to Visit India in April, Strengthen Economic and Commercial Ties

Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, is set to embark on an official visit to India from April 8-9, marking the first time he will be visiting the country as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended a warm invitation to His Highness, who will be accompanied by several ministers, senior government officials, and a high-level business delegation. The visit aims to strengthen India-UAE economic and commercial cooperation across various sectors, including traditional and futuristic areas.

During his visit, the Crown Prince will participate in a working lunch with Prime Minister Modi on April 8, followed by meetings with External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar and Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh. He will also visit Mumbai and engage in a business roundtable with prominent business leaders from both sides, aimed at enhancing bilateral trade and investment.

Dubai has traditionally played a significant role in India's commercial, cultural, and people-to-people exchanges with the UAE. With over 4.3 million Indian diaspora residing and working in Dubai, the visit of His Highness is expected to further solidify the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and strengthen ties between India and Dubai.

The Crown Prince's visit is seen as a significant step towards strengthening economic and commercial cooperation between the two nations, with a focus on fostering new partnerships and collaborations. The visit marks an important milestone in the growing relationship between India and the UAE, and both countries are expected to explore new opportunities for mutual growth and development.
