India's Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, will embark on a visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from April 22-23, 2025, at the invitation of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This marks the third visit of the Prime Minister to the Kingdom, following his previous visits in 2016 and 2019.
The visit is part of a broader effort to strengthen India-Saudi Arabia's strategic partnership, which has been growing over the past decade. The two countries share close and friendly ties, with a long history of socio-cultural and trade contacts. They have strong bilateral relations across various areas, including political, defence, security, trade, investment, energy, technology, health, education, culture, and people-to-people ties.

The visit reflects India's importance attached to its bilateral relationship with Saudi Arabia, providing an opportunity to further deepen and strengthen their multi-faceted partnership.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will exchange views on various regional and international issues of mutual interest with His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman. This visit is seen as a significant moment in strengthening India's strategic ties with Saudi Arabia, which will enhance cooperation in areas such as energy, trade, and defence.
