State Department Announces Comprehensive Reorganization Plan to ‘Make America Great Again’

The U.S. State Department has announced a comprehensive reorganization plan aimed at bringing the department into the 21st century and delivering on President Trump's "America First" foreign policy agenda.

In a statement released today, Secretary of State Marco Rubio outlined his vision for transforming the department, citing its current form as "bloated, bureaucratic, and unable to perform its essential diplomatic mission in this new era of great power competition." Over the past 15 years, the department's footprint has expanded exponentially, with costs skyrocketing, but delivering less effective and efficient diplomacy.

Rubio argued that the sprawling bureaucracy created a system more beholden to radical political ideology than advancing America's core national interests. To address this, he is announcing a plan to consolidate region-specific functions, eliminate redundant offices, and dismantle non-statutory programs that are misaligned with America's core national interests.

The reorganization plan will empower the department from the ground up, from bureaus to embassies, by increasing functionality and reducing duplication of efforts. The changes will be implemented methodically over several months.

Rubio expressed confidence that a reformed State Department would meet the moment and help make America great once again. As his Secretary of State, he is committed to putting America and Americans first, building on President Trump's leadership vision.

The new organizational chart for the U.S. State Department can be viewed online, detailing the comprehensive reorganization plan announced by Rubio today.
