India and China will hold the 23rd meeting of Special Representatives (SRs) on the boundary issue in Beijing on December 18, 2024. The Indian delegation will be led by Shri Ajit Doval, National Security Advisor and India’s Special Representative, while the Chinese side will be represented by H.E. Mr. Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and China’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.
This meeting follows the understanding reached between the leaders of both countries during their discussions in Kazan on October 23, 2024. The SRs will focus on maintaining peace and tranquility in the border areas and exploring a fair, reasonable, and mutually acceptable resolution to the long-standing boundary question.
The upcoming discussions signify the commitment of both nations to resolve the border issue through diplomatic dialogue and build on recent high-level engagements.
