Senior U.S. Official Travels to Europe to Discuss Defense Industry and NATO Cooperation

The United States’ Under Secretary for Arms Control and International Security, Brent T. Christensen, will travel to Brussels and Mons, Belgium, and Berlin, Germany, from April 21-28, to discuss key security issues with European partners.

During his visit, Mr. Christensen will meet with German counterparts in Berlin to explore ways in which the U.S. defense industry can support NATO’s collective defense and security efforts as European countries increase their investments and contributions to the alliance. The talks are expected to focus on strengthening the partnership between the two nations.

In Belgium, Mr. Christensen will lead the U.S. delegation to the NATO Special Advisory and Consultative Arms Control, Disarmament and Non-Proliferation Committee (ADNC). Mr. Christensen will also engage in discussions with NATO officials to enhance Europe’s defensive capabilities and strengthen security cooperation with European Union representatives.
