US Official to Promote Regional Cooperation at MEAD Summit

The United States will send a high-ranking official to the Middle East next week, where they will meet with foreign counterparts and promote regional cooperation on maritime security.

Senior Bureau Official for Near Eastern Affairs Timothy A. Lenderking will travel to the UAE from April 4-8, where he will attend the MEAD Summit and engage in discussions aimed at advancing stability and peace in the region. This trip is part of a broader effort by the US government to strengthen ties with its regional partners.

Following his visit to the UAE, Mr. Lenderking will travel to Bahrain from April 9-10. During his time in Bahrain, he will meet with senior officials and visit U.S. Naval Forces Central Command to discuss maritime security.
