Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Resources Laura Lochman will embark on a three-day visit to Brussels, Belgium, and Zagreb, Croatia, from March 24-27, where she aims to strengthen ties between the United States and European energy companies.
During her trip, Lochman will deliver a keynote address at the "U.S. LNG Exports and Energy Security of Central and Eastern Europe" conference, which is expected to bring together high-level officials from the European Union, Croatia, and U.S. energy sectors. In her remarks, she will highlight the benefits of increasing Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) exports from the United States, a key component of President Trump's American energy dominance policies.
Lochman's visit is part of an effort to foster closer collaboration between European and American energy companies, with a focus on enhancing cooperation on critical minerals supply chains. This initiative aims to promote greater energy security for Central and Eastern Europe while strengthening bilateral ties between the two regions.
The conference, which will take place in Brussels, will provide a platform for Lochman to discuss ways in which U.S.-European energy cooperation can benefit both nations. Her visit is seen as an important step towards promoting U.S. energy exports to Europe and deepening partnerships in the region.
