U.S. Energy Official to Promote Exports in Europe During Key Conference

Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Resources Laura Lochman will embark on a three-city European tour, focusing on promoting U.S. energy exports and strengthening cooperation with key energy partners.

During her March 24-27 visit to Brussels, Belgium, and Zagreb, Croatia, Acting Assistant Secretary Lochman will deliver a keynote address at the "U.S. LNG Exports and Energy Security of Central and Eastern Europe" conference. Her remarks are expected to highlight the benefits of increasing U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports for both the United States and European countries.

As part of her efforts, Acting Assistant Secretary Lochman will engage with officials from the European Union, Croatia, and U.S. energy companies to foster linkages between these entities. This collaboration aims to promote a more robust and secure energy landscape in Central and Eastern Europe.

The conference is particularly significant as it underscores the importance of cooperation on critical minerals supply chains. Acting Assistant Secretary Lochman's discussion at the event will focus on the significance of such partnerships for both regional and global economic stability.
