The United States, Australia, India, and Japan concluded a successful Tabletop Exercise from April 28 to May 2 in Honolulu, Hawaii, marking the launch of the Indo-Pacific Logistics Network (IPLN). The IPLN is an initiative aimed at enhancing cooperation among Quad partners on logistics capabilities, enabling more rapid and efficient civilian response to natural disasters across the Indo-Pacific region.
The simulation exercise brought together experts from each country to explore ways to leverage shared logistics capabilities in support of regional security and disaster relief efforts. This marks a significant step forward for the Quad's commitment to ensuring a free and open Indo-Pacific, as highlighted by the Indo-Pacific Partnership for Maritime Domain Awareness.
The IPLN reflects the partners' desire to strengthen practical cooperation and address regional challenges through collaborative efforts. By sharing logistics capabilities, the Quad aims to enhance disaster response capacity, reduce response times, and improve overall coordination in the region.
This exercise demonstrates the Quad's dedication to promoting stability and security in the Indo-Pacific, and we look forward to continued collaboration among our partners in this effort," said a spokesperson for the Office of the Spokesperson.
