Angola’s largest international trade fair, Feira Internacional de Luanda (FILDA) 2025, kicked off on July 22 in the Special Economic Zone (ZEE), Ícolo e Bengo, with the official attendance of Indonesia’s Embassy in Windhoek. The event, which features over 1,100 exhibitors from across the globe, marks a significant milestone in Indonesia’s efforts to strengthen economic and trade cooperation with Angola.
The Indonesian Pavilion at FILDA 2025 showcases an array of potential export products, including snacks and energy drinks, adhesive products, footwear, herbal goods, and palm-based derivatives. This move reflects Indonesia’s commitment to expanding its presence in the Sub-Saharan African market and enhancing the visibility of its flagship products.
Indonesia’s participation in FILDA 2025 is part of a broader strategic effort to foster mutually beneficial partnerships with Angola, which Indonesia views as a key player in the region. “Indonesia views Angola, with its vast potential, as a strategic partner in the region,” said H.E. Mirza Nurhidayat, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Namibia and Angola. “Our participation in FILDA represents a concrete step in exploring new avenues for cooperation, expanding business networks, and promoting the capabilities of Indonesia’s industries in the African market.”
The event also provided an opportunity for the Embassy to strengthen engagement with local stakeholders, including chambers of commerce and Angolan business players. Business matching sessions and product promotion activities have been scheduled throughout the event, aimed at generating tangible and sustainable business opportunities.
FILDA 2025 carries the theme “50 Years Consolidating Angola’s Economic Independence and Integration into the World,” commemorating Angola’s 50th anniversary of independence. The fair aims to highlight the role of the economic sector in national development and promote Angolan exports globally.
