In a statement, the Prime Minister underscored the robust discussions held on enhancing the India-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. He emphasized Indonesia’s pivotal role in India’s Act East Policy and welcomed its inclusion in the BRICS alliance.

“India is honoured to welcome President Prabowo Subianto.
When India celebrated its first Republic Day in 1950, Indonesia was our guest nation. Now, as we commemorate 75 years of being a Republic, it is a privilege to have President Subianto join the celebrations.
We had enriching discussions on strengthening the India-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, focusing on key areas like security, defence manufacturing, trade, FinTech, artificial intelligence, and more. Additionally, we aim to collaborate closely in sectors such as food security, energy, and disaster management.”
The Prime Minister also highlighted the shared commitment of India and Indonesia to multilateral platforms, affirming:
“Indonesia remains central to India’s Act East Policy, and we wholeheartedly welcome its membership in BRICS.”
