Cambodia and Japan Strengthen Economic Ties with $7.2 Million Grant Aid

In a significant development, Cambodia and Japan will sign an Exchange of Notes on the extension of Japanese grant aid worth JPY 1,002,000,000 (approximately USD 7.2 million) to support the implementation of the Economic and Social Development Programme’s Urban Planning Sector.

On 25 December 2024, Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, will meet with His Excellency UENO Atsushi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Cambodia, to formalize the agreement. The meeting is set to take place on 26 December 2024 at a location to be confirmed.
