On May 24, 2025, the United States celebrated the 34th anniversary of Eritrea’s independence with a congratulatory message from Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

As part of this effort, the U.S. aims to strengthen its relationship with the people and Government of the State of Eritrea in the years ahead.
