India Dispatches Humanitarian Aid to Myanmar Under Operation Brahma

India has continued its support to the people of Myanmar under Operation Brahma, despatching components of 20 pre-fabricated offices weighing approximately 50 tonnes to Naypyidaw as part of a relief material delivery. The structures will serve as temporary offices for various Ministries.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) C-17 aircraft were deployed on April 15, 2025, to transport the pre-fabricated offices and bring back doctors and personnel of the 60-para field hospital after de-induction. The 200-bedded field hospital has successfully treated over 2,519 patients in the past two weeks.

Under Operation Brahma, India was the first responder to the earthquake in Myanmar on March 28 and has provided relief supplies weighing around 750 metric tonnes. These supplies include essential medicines, foodgrain, ready-to-eat meals, tents, blankets, gensets, rapidly deployable surgical and medical shelters, water sanitation and hygiene services, drinking water, essential clothing, and 20 prefabricated office/residential structures.

Additionally, India has deployed a 80-member National Disaster Rescue Force (NDRF) Heavy Urban Search and Rescue Specialists Team and a 127-member Indian Army field Hospital Team as part of its humanitarian assistance. The dispatch of these supplies and personnel demonstrates India's commitment to standing with the people of Myanmar during this difficult time.

The ongoing support from India underscores its willingness to provide assistance to those in need, both within its own borders and internationally.
