According to official data, this cooperation resulted in a nearly 98 per cent reduction in such incidents. The Deputy Secretary also praised Panama's efforts to curb malign influence from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in the region.
During the call, Landau and MartÃnez-Acha discussed the importance of Panama's ongoing audit of Hutchison's management of concessions for two ports located at either end of the Panama Canal. The U.S. government views this initiative as a crucial step towards ensuring the safety, security, and prosperity of both countries.
