The Department of State's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs has announced a reward offer under its Narcotics Rewards Program of up to $5 million for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of Guatemalan narcotics trafficker Haroldo Waldemar Lorenzana Terraza, also known as "Haroldito."
The reward is being offered in coordination with the Government of Guatemala in an effort to bring Lorenzana Terraza to justice. This offer augments the existing Guatemalan reward of 50,000 Quetzals for his capture.
Lorenzana Terraza is a member of the Lorenzana drug trafficking family operating out of La Reforma, Guatemala, with established ties to Mexican drug trafficking organizations, including the Sinaloa Cartel. The organization has allegedly coordinated the transportation and distribution of large quantities of cocaine from Colombia to Central America and Mexico for eventual distribution in the United States.
An investigation by the DEA has led to two indictments in the District of Columbia with international narcotics violations. In a superseding indictment, Lorenzana Terraza was charged with operating a Continuing Criminal Enterprise and four additional co-defendants were also charged.
The reward offer is authorized by the Secretary under the Narcotics Rewards Program, which supports law enforcement efforts to disrupt transnational crime globally and bring fugitives to justice as part of President Trump's "America First" priorities. Individuals with information about Lorenzana Terraza can contact the DEA through email at HarolditotipsGuat@dea.gov or by texting +1 571-519-1025 (text/WhatsApp/Signal). Those located outside of the United States can visit their nearest U.S. embassy or consulate, while those in the United States can contact their local DEA field office.
The identity of all informants will be kept strictly confidential, and government officials and employees are not eligible for rewards.
