One of the notable moments of the meeting came when NSA Sullivan handed over a personal letter from President Biden to Prime Minister Modi. The letter, which was warmly received by the Prime Minister, further symbolized the strong personal rapport between the two leaders and the continued trust that defines their relationship. Prime Minister Modi expressed his deep appreciation for the letter and for the warm personal relationship between him and President Biden.

A Commitment to Deepen Ties

Prime Minister Modi reiterated India’s steadfast commitment to furthering the bilateral partnership. “India and the United States share not only common interests but also shared values of democracy, rule of law, and respect for human rights,” he said. “I am committed to continuing to deepen our cooperation across all sectors for the benefit of our peoples and for the greater good of the world.”

The Prime Minister emphasized that the partnership between the two countries was not only a critical driver for economic and technological advancement but also a cornerstone for addressing regional and global challenges, including security, climate change, and economic resilience.

Best Wishes to the Biden Family

In a personal gesture, Prime Minister Modi conveyed his warmest wishes to President Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, expressing his hope for continued success and well-being for the Biden family in the year ahead.

Looking Ahead

As the world faces numerous challenges, from global security issues to climate change, the India-U.S. partnership is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the international order. Today’s meeting between Prime Minister Modi and NSA Sullivan signals the continued momentum in the bilateral relationship, with both leaders reaffirming their commitment to enhancing cooperation in technology, defense, space, clean energy, and beyond.
