His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn, who received Ambassador Khobragade at the Ministry, highlighted key milestones during her tenure, which include His Majesty the King's State Visit to India in May 2023, the virtual meeting between Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN Sen and Hon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi in May 2022, and the visit of Samdech Thipadei HUN Manet in February 2022, when he was still Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and Commander of the Royal Cambodian Army.
Ambassador Khobragade also led several high-level visits to Cambodia, including Hon. Shri Om Birla, Speaker of Lok Sabha, who visited Cambodia in April 2022, and Hon. Jagdeep Dhankha, Vice President of India, who attended the ASEAN Summits and Related Summits in Phnom Penh in November 2022.
During her farewell call, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn and Ambassador Khobragade discussed the possibility to convene the 3rd Joint Commission Meeting and to arrange official visits from Cambodia to India next year. They also welcomed the momentum in trade relations following the establishment of the Cambodian-Indian Business Council in February 2024.
