The British Embassy in Bratislava wishes to inform all British Nationals residing or visiting Slovakia of an important update regarding their residence permit.

From 1st April 2022, holders of a valid residence permit issued by the Slovak Republic will be able to register with the [Slovak Foreigners Police](https://www.mvcr.slovakia.si/foreigners-policeman) (MÚ SR) and obtain an electronic residence permit. This change is part of an effort to modernize the residency regime in Slovakia.
