Cambodia Deploys Peacekeeping Troops to Central African Republic

In a statement released on 05 Jul 2024, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation announced the deployment of 244 Cambodian UN peacekeepers to the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA). The latest contingent includes 36 female troops from Multi-Role Engineering Unit 468, marking a significant milestone in Cambodia’s growing reputation for excellence in UN humanitarian missions.

The deployment was led by Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the National Coordination Committee for the United Nations Peacekeeping Operations, His Excellency Sok Chenda Sophea.
