Cambodia Strongly Supports Indonesia’s Regional Role Amidst Global Challenges

On 18 October 2024, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation announced that Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister will attend the inaugurations of new Indonesian leaders, Prabowo Subianto as President and Gibran Rakabuming Raka as Vice President. The ceremony is scheduled to take place on 20 October 2024 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

This move comes at a time when Cambodia and Indonesia are strengthening their partnership in regional cooperation, with a focus on promoting peace, stability, and economic growth in the Indo-Pacific region. The visit will also provide an opportunity for Cambodia to engage with Indonesia on regional issues such as the East Sea dispute, transboundary water resources management, and counter-terrorism cooperation.
