In a statement released on 13 Jun 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the successful holding of a seminar titled “Heart-to-Heart, Cultural Ties Between Thailand and Latin America” on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The event was organized by Mr. Chakraphan Yuwaree, Director of the Latin America Division, along with distinguished lecturers from various Thai universities, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pasuree Luesakul and Prof. Pichada Chotiphan from Thammasat University’s Spanish and Latin American Studies Programme. Many participants also took advantage of the opportunity to visit the 150th anniversary exhibition of the establishment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Vites Samosorn Room.
The event held special significance as it coincides with important diplomatic relationship anniversaries between Thailand and three key countries: the 70th anniversary of Thailand-Argentina relations, the 60th anniversary of Thailand-Peru relations, and the 50th anniversary of Thailand-Mexico relations.
