The Government of India has appointed Shri Y.K. Sailas Thangal (Indian Foreign Service, 1996 batch) as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Kazakhstan. Currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), he is expected to assume his new diplomatic assignment in Nur-Sultan in the coming weeks.
