In a significant development, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia successfully co-chaired the Fourth Round of Bilateral Political Consultations with the Republic of Azerbaijan on July 21, 2025, in Phnom Penh. His Excellency Khuon Phon Rattanak presented Cambodia’s favorable investment law, which allows 100% foreign ownership in various fields, alongside opportunities in infrastructure development, renewable energy, and digitalization. The Azerbaijani Deputy Minister requested consideration of establishing mechanisms to increase trade volume and investment between the two nations.
