The United States Department of State, in coordination with the Department of the Treasury, has imposed targeted sanctions on the Foxtrot Network, a notorious transnational criminal organization, and its fugitive leader Rawa Majid. The designation is part of the Trump Administration's renewed maximum pressure campaigns against the Iranian regime.
The Foxtrot Network, based in Sweden, is a prominent drug trafficking organization involved in arms trafficking and contributing to rising violence in Northern Europe. The group has been linked to numerous attacks on Israeli and Jewish targets in Europe, including the 2024 attack on the Israeli Embassy in Stockholm, Sweden. Majid, who cooperated with the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence and Security, is also facing Swedish charges related to narcotics and firearms.
The sanctions, imposed under Executive Order (E.O.) 13581, as amended by E.O. 13863, aim to block all property and interests in property of the designated persons in the United States or in the possession or control of U.S. persons. The designation underscores the Department's commitment to holding accountable those individuals and organizations that work with the Iranian regime to undermine national safety and security and global partners.
The targeted sanctions are part of the ongoing efforts by the United States to expose and impose costs on the Iranian regime for its malign activities, as outlined in the Trump Administration's maximum pressure campaigns. The action also highlights the Department's commitment to holding Majid accountable for his role in supporting the transnational criminal organization.
