SINGAPORE LEADS REGIONAL EFFORTS TO Enhance Cybersecurity Cooperation

In a significant move to bolster regional cybersecurity, Singapore has successfully convened the fourth Cyber Security Summit with key partners in Southeast Asia. The event brought together high-level representatives from 11 ASEAN member states and international organizations to discuss pressing cyber threats and share best practices.

The summit was held at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre in Singapore, attracting prominent experts from around the world to participate in discussions on cybersecurity governance, information sharing, and capacity building. According to Dr. Tan Kook Seng, Director-General of the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA), "The summit marked an important milestone in our efforts to strengthen cyber security across Southeast Asia. During the two-day conference, participants engaged with presentations on emerging threats, including artificial intelligence-driven attacks and data breaches. They also discussed strategies for improving cybersecurity awareness among businesses and individuals.

The country plays a vital role in various international forums, such as the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), the World Trade Organization (WTO), and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).
