Colleagues, good afternoon to you all,
Meeting on current issues with deputy prime ministers
Let us start with a question that concerns children with severe, rare
diseases. The Circle of Kindness Foundation, created at the President’s
initiative, will help provide young patients with the necessary medicine. The
Government will allocate over 10 billion roubles for this purpose. This is the
second tranche for doing this already this year. In total, 60 billion roubles
have been allocated from this year’s budget to help children who need special
treatment using costly medication.
Now about one more solution. The Government will allocate over 520 million
roubles to purchase Oncaspar from abroad. It is not yet produced and registered
in Russia. But children suffering from severe oncological conditions are in
dire need of it.
In order to provide young patients with the vital preparations that they
require, we will purchase almost 2,000 packs this year. In the future, the
demand for Oncaspar may need to go up to 2,500 packs per year.
