Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the DPRK, received a message of congratulations from Mahmoud Abbas, President of the State of Palestine and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, on September 9.
The message reads as follows:
Please accept my greetings.
On behalf of the state and people of Palestine and on my own behalf, I extend my warmest and heartfelt congratulations to you and, through you, to the friendly government and people of the DPRK on the occasion of the founding anniversary of the DPRK.
I wish you happiness in good health as well as successes in your work. I also wish the DPRK and its people greater progress and prosperity.
I am proud of the relations of friendship and respect between the two countries and the two peoples. I will develop these relations in the mutual interests.
I express my gratitude to you for supporting the just cause of our people to realize the legitimate rights of freedom and independence.
