Chief Criminals Condemned for Crimes against Humanity Perpetrated in Afghanistan

During the 31st Special Session of the UN Human Rights Council held in Geneva on August 24, many countries pointed out those responsible for crimes against humanity in Afghanistan, demanding strongly to call them to account for it.

Representatives from countries like China, Cuba, Venezuela and Iran among others denounced that the U.S. occupation of Afghanistan gave rise to inhumane crimes of gross violation of human rights and massacre.

They stressed that the U.S. and its allies left no other legacy in Afghanistan but the death of 241,000 people including 7,792 children.

It was noted that the U.S. and the west have historically occupied sovereign states by military means under the pretext of “democracy” and “human rights” and coerced them into the western values and its way of life, leaving us with a hard lesson that such acts would only incur devastating calamity upon people.

They went on to assert that the military authorities of the U.S., UK and Australia deserve to be blamed for their gross violation of human rights that occurred by their military occupation of Afghanistan and that this issue should also be reflected in the resolution of the current session.

The Special Session adopted the Resolution on Protection, Improvement and Enhancement of Human Rights in Afghanistan stipulating the need to conduct a transparent and prompt investigation into the violations of human rights to establish the liability of the offenders.

It is clearly shown that the U.S. and the western countries, though they advocate “protection of human rights”, are the stranglers of human rights, mercilessly trampling upon even the right to life, the basic right of human rights, and that they receive unanimous denunciation from the international society.

The acts of the U.S. and western countries perpetrated against human rights should no longer be tolerated nor be connived at as they interfere into the internal affairs of other countries at will with high-handedness and arbitrariness, and violate human rights.

There are no statutes of limitations for crimes against humanity and the criminals who have violated human rights would never evade the stern judgement of the international society.
