Over 80 representatives of more than 20 organizations, including ministries, agencies, universities, and the national chamber of commerce and industry, are participating in the workshop.The event is being implemented as a part of the agenda of “Empowerment of the negotiating capacity of Mongolian officials to establish a free trade agreement” in accordance with the Government resolution No.48 of 2018. Through organizing a series of trainings, Mongolia is aiming to set up a national negotiation team.State Secretary N.Ankhbayar, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mongolia and Director Rupa Chanda, Trade, Investment and Innovation Division, UN ESCAP have given the opening statements for the workshop.Following a request by the Government of Mongolia, United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is organizing the “Negotiating a free trade agreement” capacity building workshop on October 10-13, 2022.
