India and Estonia 12th round of foreign office consultations

On April 12, 2023, India and Estonia held their 12th Foreign Office Consultations( FOC) in New Delhi. Shri Sanjay Verma, Secretary( West) of the Ministry of External Affairs, oversaw the Indian side. Ms. Kyllike Sillaste-Elling, the undersecretary for political affairs in Estonia’s’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was in charge of the Estonian side.

India and Estonia have frequent political and official exchanges and a warm and friendly bilateral relationship. Despite the pandemic’s’s negative effects, trade between India and Estonia has grown recently.

Reviewing bilateral agreements and exchanging opinions on regional and international issues of shared interest, such as changes in our respective neighborhoods, the EU, Ukraine conflict, India’s’s G20 presidency, cooperation in multilateral fora, and UNSC reforms, were all made possible by the FOC. Additionally, both sides talked about enhancing ties in areas like trade, investments, cyber-digital cooperation, and cultural connections.

The following round of Foreign Office Consultations will be held in Tallinn at mutually convenient times by both parties.
