
The leaders discussed direct Government-to-Government cooperation over the oil and gas spectrum including improved long-term offtake, participation in exploration and production routines in Guyana, technical cooperation in the midstream and downstream sectors and capacity building, as well as the synergies which exist between the two countries. They agreed to set up technical teams to advance these discussions. The particular leaders also witnessed the signing of a contract in between Guyana Power and Gas Inc. (a wholly owned company of the Govt of Guyana) and Engineers Indian Limited (EIL) for providing Consultancy Services for an Integrated NGL Plant and 300 MW CCGT Power Grow project in Guyana.
