Bangkok, March 9, 2022.- The Cuban ambassador to Thailand, Héctor Conde, was received at the Foreign Ministry by Nipa Nirannoot, Acting Director General of the Department of Americas and South Pacific Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand.
In the cordial meeting, topics of interest on bilateral and multilateral relations were addressed, as well as the debates of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly. Both sides agreed on the importance of defending multilateralism in the current global context.
The Cuban diplomat thanked the people and government of Thailand for the continued support for the United Nations Resolution on the need to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade of more than 60 years imposed by the United States government against Cuba, intensified in times of Covid-19.
