The Embassy of Cuba in Nigeria commemorates the 169th Anniversary of the Apostle’s birth

Nigeria, January 28, 2022. The Embassy of Cuba in Nigeria commemorates the 169th Anniversary of the Apostle’s birth through a modest but solemn act in which a representation of Cubans and Nigerians participated. Activity chaired by Cro. Pavel Bauzá Fusté, Charge d’Affaires a. i. who highlighted the example and values ​​of José Martí and referred to the apostle’s links with Africa. By way of acknowledgment and gratitude, he also highlighted the decision in 2000-2001 of the Nigerian government to name a street in Abuja with the name of the National Hero of Cuba.

The moment was propitious to publicize significant elements of the life of José Martí and also to highlight the results of the work of the Nigerian personnel in the Diplomatic Mission, whom he exhorted to continue offering the best of themselves in the fulfillment of the tasks, maintain the unity and harmony of work achieved.
