Oslo, November 23, 2021. From November 19 to 21, the Association of Friendship with Cuba in Norway, Cubaforeningen i Norge, was present at the Globalization Conference 2021, organized by the Norwegian Social Forum.
During the three days of the event, which had solidarity as its central theme, the Association maintained a stand set up in which materials about Cuba, such as books, pins, posters and magazines were exhibited and distributed, motivating great interest among the participants.
Likewise, as part of the program of activities, a member of the Association gave a conference entitled “People´s Power and environmental management: the Cuban approach to natural hazards and disaster reduction”, which was well attended.
The Norwegian Social Forum, of which the Friendship Association with Cuba is a part, is a Norwegian organization derived from the World Social Forum. The Globalization Conference, which takes place every two years in Oslo, is its main event. It serves as a meeting and exchange point for activists and representatives of civil organizations, labor unions and political parties, and in its framework seminars, workshops, debates, cultural activities and other initiatives take place.
