The ambassador of Cuba to Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, met with the president of the Mongolian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Amartuvshin Otgondavaa. From the Mongolian side was also present the head of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of that organization, Mr. Gerelsaikhan.Ts
Both parties talked on the actions for the implementation of the Collaboration Agreement and the Action Plan between the Chambers of Commerce of the two countries, signed in March 2021.
The President of the Mongolian Chamber recalled the exchanges of information on various sectors, carried out previously. Among them stands out the inter-businesses virtual meeting on biotechnology and health. He also expressed willingness to implement the agreed actions.
For his part, the Cuban ambassador conveyed the greetings of the President of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, which were reciprocated. Likewise, he explained the novelties of the update of the portfolio of foreign investment opportunities, presented last December.
The representative of the island also referred to the international conferences and fairs that will take place in Cuba this year. Among others highlight, the International Tourism Fair FITCuba 2022 in May, the XV International Fair HEALTH FOR ALL in October and the XXXVIII International Fair of Havana #FIHAV2022 in November.
The international fairs and events in Cuba offer Mongolian companies not only the possibility of learning about the business potential with Cuba. They are also an opportunity to network with entrepreneurs from numerous attending countries, particularly from Latin America and the Caribbean.
