Islamabad, 1 May 2021. Ramzan Mughal, President of the Pakistan-Cuba Social Forum, ratified his country’s solidarity and firm rejection of the US blockade, while speaking on the panel of the Virtual Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba organised by the Cuban Workers’ Central and the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).
“In these times of hardship and health crisis, the blockade and all sanctions against Cuba must be lifted,” said Mughal in his remarks, which have been reproduced by several local media on this International Workers’ Day.
Mughal’s call joins 18 Pakistani youths and teenagers who on 25 April joined their voices to express their rejection of the blockade and their gratitude for the solidarity aid offered by Cuba after the earthquake of October 2005 and for the more than 900 medical scholarships offered to students from this country between 2006 and 2014.
