May 9, anniversary of the victory over Nazi-fascism.

May 9 is celebrated as the day of victory against Nazi fascism in the second world War(WWII). It was on that day of the unconditional surrender of Nazi Germany in front of the Soviet delegation in Berlin, when Field Marshal Keitel signed the document by which he recognized the victory of the Red Army of Workers and Peasants of the USSR.
The WWII was the armed conflict described as the largest and bloodiest in modern history, in which the countries that made up the Allied Powers and the Axis Powers fought, between 1939 and 1945. After six years of hard fighting, on August 14 In 1945, the end of the war was declared with the victory of the Allies after the fall of the regimes of Adolf Hitler in Germany and Hideki Tojo in the Empire of Japan. Conservative figures establish that the war caused the death of around 60 million people, with the Soviet Union, China and Germany, the nations that suffered the most victims. After the end of the war, the world was divided into two blocks, the so-called capitalist bloc, led by the United States and with influence over Western Europe and other domains, and the so-called communist bloc, led by the USSR and with influence over Eastern Europe.
Like every May 9, the communists around the world celebrate this day as the day of Victory over Nazi-fascism during World War II. A day full of great significance, not only for the working class, but for the whole of Humanity.
We cannot forget history and what the irreplaceable role of the Soviet Union, the Red Army and the CPSU meant in the victory over Nazi-fascism. We cannot allow the truth of the struggle, of the crimes, of the genocide to be misrepresented. You have to know history to be able to face the present and forge a better future where the crimes of the past are not committed again.
The commemoration of this day should have a space for the memory of all those women and men who gave their lives fighting for liberation from the yoke of Nazism, but it should also serve to draw conclusions and advance positions around the anti-fascist struggle today.
The coming to power of Nazi-fascism at the time was not accidental. Like the increasingly daily presence of its followers today, in many places, it responds to the class interests of the bourgeoisie. At times like the current one, with another cycle of the structural crisis of capitalism (exacerbated by the crisis of the COVID 19 pandemic), any resistance that could endanger the interests and profits of the big monopolies will be harshly repressed, either by judicial or extrajudicial means.
Fascism can have different faces and disguise itself in many ways, but it has played and will always play the same role of containing the revolutionary struggle, and that is a maxim that we must not forget when facing the struggles that we will have to develop to defend. and conquer our rights.
We have memory. Eternal glory to the heroes who fought for a better world.
