Leader of the Social Justice Movement in Trinidad and Tobago calls for an end to the #Blockade of #Cuba.

Port of Spain, June 22, 2021. David Abdulah, Leader of the Social Justice Movement in Trinidad and Tobago, in an energetic statement made today, asked the US government to end the blockade of #U.S vs #Cuba and remove Cuba from the list of countries that supposedly support terrorism and that was arbitrarily included by the Trump administration. In his statement, he defined the consequences that the application of this policy has brought to the Cuban people, which has limited #Cuba’s access to medicines and supplies necessary for the health of the Cuban people and especially to face the terrible pandemic of # COVID19. He also highlighted the solidarity and humanitarian medical aid that the Cuban people have provided to different countries of the world, in which Trinidad and Tobago is also included. Finally, he denounced the inhumane and extraterritorial nature of the blockade and demanded that the Biden government lift the commercial, economic and financial blockade of #U.S vs #Cuba.
