His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received credentials of HE Oscar León González, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba.
HH The Amir welcomed the Ambassador and wished him success in his duties, and for the relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Cuba further development and growth.
For his part, the Ambassador conveyed to His Highness the greetings of HE Raúl Castro Ruz, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, and HE Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, President of the Republic of Cuba. He also conveyed to His Highness their wishes for the Qatari people continued progress and prosperity.
The official reception ceremony was held at Sheikh Abdullah Bin Jassim Majlis at the Amiri Diwan, where HE Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Mohamed Mafaz Mohideen, HE Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau Malam Jora, HE Ambassador of the Republic of Malta Charles Sultana, and HE Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Duc Hung, also submitted their credentials to HH Amir.
