Growing interest in Pakistan for advances in Cuban science.

Islamabad, February 21, 2021. “The development of Cuban science and in particular, its advances in the fight against Covid-19, are of growing interest in Pakistan,” said Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary in a courtesy call he paid to the new ambassador of the island in Islamabad, Zéner J. Caro González. 

Dr. Iqbal, considered one of the most prestigious and influential Pakistani scientists worldwide, conveyed the interest of his nation and the Organization on Islamic Cooperation Ministerial Standing  Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation  in resuming cooperation with Cuba in the fields of biotechnology, vaccine production, training of health personnel and agriculture, in which he praised the achievements of Cuban scientists. 

Referring to the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, the also director of the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences, commented that several Pakistani media have been publishing articles on the results achieved by Cuba and highlighted the possibility of our country becoming the first to immunize its entire population in the coming months.  CUBAMINREX-EMBACUBA PAKISTAN
