Cuban state mission in Dominica celebrates the 63rd anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution

Roseau, Dominica. An act for the 63rd anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution was carried out by the Cuban state mission in this country, complying with the epidemiological control measures established for the control of COVID – 19. At The act that was hold December 31st 2021, was attended by officials from the Embassy and a wide representation of the Permanent Brigade of Health Collaborators. In addition, were present the Charge d’Affaires a.i, from the Venezuelan Embassy, ​​José Quijada and a representation of solidarity with Cuba and Cubans residing in Dominica.

When addressing the participants, the head of the Brigade, Dr Francisco Sánchez Martínez, congratulated everyone on the new anniversary of the important event. The Ambassador of Cuba, Ulises Arranz Fernández, recounted the main challenges faced by Cuba during the year 2021, in which he said, the US aggression to end the Cuban political system was combined, opportunistically using the effects produced by COVID – 19, the maintenance intact of the economic, financial and commercial blockade against the Cuban people and the promotion of internal subversion. However, he stressed, they could not achieve their purpose due to the unwavering will of the Cuban people to defend their Revolution and the talent of Cuban scientists in creating various vaccines to combat COVID-19.

The event concluded with a cultural – recreational activity that was organized by health collaborators.
