Kampala. Cuban Ambassador Tania Perez Xiques paid a courtesy call on her counterpart from the Republic of Burundi in Uganda, Mrs. Epiphanie Ntamwana.
The Cuban diplomat explained Cuba’s performance in the confrontation with COVID 19, the challenges of the Cuban economy for this year 2022 and conveyed her satisfaction with the lifting of sanctions against that country, highlighting the significance of this step for Burundi to continue advancing in their economic and social development.
The Ambassador of Burundi highlighted the historic relationship with Cuba and referred to the need to strengthen bilateral relations in the economic and commercial fields.
