Cuban Ambassador, Alejandro Simancas, participated along with the rest of the Heads of Latin American and Caribbean diplomatic missions accredited in India in a meeting with the Honorable Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of Health, Family Welfare, Chemicals and Fertilizers of the Government of India. The Minister highlighted the efforts that the country has deployed in the vaccination campaign and that today shows palpable results with the control of the Covid pandemic. The Secretaries of the Ministry S. Aparna and Rajesh Bhushan, respectively responsible for pharmacy and health, also spoke. During the meeting it was discussed the possibilities of cooperation and exchange in the health sector between India and the Latin American and Caribbean region. In a separate meeting between the Cuban Ambassador and the Minister, they agreed on the desire to continue strengthening relations in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
