The Secretary General of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka, Dr. G. Weerasinghe sent a message of congratulations to his Cuban counterpart on his recent election as First Secretary of the Cuban Party and acknowledged the services rendered to the party as well as to his people.
The message highlights the legacy and teachings of Fidel and Raúl, which will serve DÃaz Canel to give continuity to his historic mission.
Likewise, the continuity of solidarity with Cuba’s struggle for its sovereignty, independence and its inalienable right to development is ensured.
Also, are expressed wishes in the success of its mission in the performance of national and international tasks and the confidence is raised in giving continuity to the fraternal relations between both parties as well as developing these to a top level under his leadership
