Statement by Minister of Foreign Affairs on Ministerial Conference of La Francophonie

The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today issued the following statement at the conclusion of the 40th extraordinary session of the Ministerial Conference of La Francophonie, which took place in Paris on March 16, 2022: “Canada, represented by Isabelle Hudon, personal representative of the Prime Minister of Canada for La Francophonie, actively participated in the conference to promote the Canadian vision of a diverse and inclusive Francophonie, centred on the protection and promotion of the French language as well as the defence of peace, democracy and human rights.Source
