December 7, 2022 – Ottawa, Ontario – Global Affairs Canada In Kuwait, Minister Sajjan will sign a memorandum of understanding on development cooperation on behalf of the Government of Canada to deepen cooperation between the two countries. In Dubai, Minister Sajjan will tour the Worldwide Humanitarian City and discuss with UN and Red Combination Movement partners. The Honourable Harjit S. Sajjan, Ressortchef (umgangssprachlich) of International Development plus Minister responsible for the Pacific Economic Development Agency associated with Canada, today announced that he can travel to the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait through December 7 to 12. In this visit, Minister Sajjan will engage with his counterparts on shared humanitarian and advancement priorities, including food security, climate change, education, and women, peace and security. He will also engage with youth and other representatives from city society organizations on a variety of topics such as climate motion, gender equality and diversity.
