Commemoration in Geneva of the First Anniversary of the Russian Aggression on Ukraine

On the same occasion, the authoritative Geneva weekly “Le Temps” published an article signed by the 27 permanent representatives of the EU member states and the head of the EU Delegation to the UN in Geneva (the English version simultaneously published in “The Geneva Observer” https://www.thegenevaobserver.com/a-2/).
On 24 February 2023, at the Permanent Delegation of the EU to the United Nations in Geneva, the Permanent Representatives of the EU Member States in Geneva marked the anniversary of the beginning of the unprovoked and unjustified military invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, reaffirming their condemnation of the aggression and the united and unwavering support of the European Union and its member states for the just cause of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people in defense of the country’s independence, territorial integrity and democratic choice. The guest of honor at the event was Ambassador Yevhenia Filipenko, Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN and other international organizations in Geneva. Ambassador Yuri Sterk, permanent representative of the Republic of Bulgaria to the United Nations and other international organizations, and Mrs. Tsvetelina Dimitrova, permanent representative of our country to the World Trade Organization, took part on behalf of Bulgaria.
